Aside from her impressive career as a businesswoman, Parvin Atabay is known throughout Los Angeles and the rest of the world for her desire to help other people. Many friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances have commented on Atabay’s giving and caring nature, which works tirelessly to serve others.
Though Parvin Atabay invests herself in a variety of charitable efforts, it’s certainly clear that underprivileged children steal Atabay’s heart. A mother of two herself, Parvin Atabay has a spot in her heart for children everywhere, in both third world countries and at home in California.
Having grown up in Iran and immigrated to the United States around the time of the Iranian Revolution, Parvin Atabay knows the difficulties and challenges of living in a country that doesn’t have the same benefits and freedoms of the United States. Atabay has seen life on the other side of the globe. However, raising her children in the United States has given her a good perspective of childhood in a Western country as well.
Parvin Atabay hopes that soon she can travel to Kenya, the Philippines, Thailand, and other third world countries. A children’s book is currently in the works for Parvin Atabay, and traveling to these countries in order to research and gather stories for her book might be necessary in the near future.
Though Parvin Atabay loves to travel, the trips will certainly be a major time commitment. However, Atabay’s eager willingness to help others will give her the necessary strength to make the trips.
Currently, Atabay’s main charity-related focus is on the monthly events she hosts in local parks where children can play, work on arts and crafts projects, and learn invaluable reading skills. The events bring together the community, underprivileged children, and Atabay’s friends and family. Many children have been impacted by her charitable efforts in Glendale, CA.
